عَيَامٌ
The day; syn. نَهَارٌ: mentioned by Az, on the authority of El-Muärrij. One says, طَابَ العِيَامُ i. e. النَّهَارُ [The day became pleasant]. [See عَامٌ, last sentence; in art. عوم.]
