غَلَآءٌ the subst. from غَلَا السِّعْرُ; [as such signifying A high price, or rate, at which a thing is to be sold;] or it is an Verbal.Noun [See 1, latter half.]

def.2 Also, [i. e.] like سَمَآءٌ [in measure], but in the copies of the M غَلَّآءٌ , with teshdeed, A man who shoots the arrow far.

def.3 And A certain small, or short, fish, about a span [in length]: pl. أَغْلِيَةٌ.
