غَلِطَI , Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun غَلَطٌ and أُغْلُوطَةٌ, He made a mistake; committed an error; or missed, or erred from, the right way or mode or manner: or he was unable to find the right way, and knew it not: in an affair; in anything; in reckoning, or computation, &c.: or in his speech, in particular; and غَلِتَ in reckoning, or computation: but some of the Arabs make these two verbs to be syn. dial. variants.
