فَاثِجٌ

Full Definition

فَاثِجٌ , applied to a she-camel, Pregnant; and so فَاسِجٌ: or youthful, and having conceived: or having conceived, and become goodly: or having conceived, and become fat, being youthful: pl. فَوَاثِجُ. And, so applied, i. q. حَائِلٌ [i. e. One not conceiving during a year, or two years, or some years], and fat: thus having two contr. significations. And, accord. to IDrd, A she-camel having a large hump, and fat; and so though she be not حَائِل.
