فَاحِشٌ
Anything, or any evil thing, excessive, immoderate, enormous, exorbitant, beyond measure, exceeding the proper bounds or limits, or overmuch: anything not agreeable with truth, and with rule or measure: foul, evil, bad, abominable, or unseemly; [gross, immodest, lewd, or obscene;] applied to a thing or an affair, and to speech or language. It is said in a trad., He was asked respecting the blood of fleas, [whether it rendered a garment impure,] and said إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ فَاحِشًا فَلَا بَأْسَ بِهِ
If it is not excessive, or beyond measure, there is no harm in it.
2 A man who transgresses the proper bounds or limits [in anything: and particularly] in speech or language, and in reply: who is foul, evil, bad, abominable, or unseemly; [gross, immodest, lewd, or obscene;] in speech or language, and in action: and فَحَّاشٌ signifies the same;
3 A man evil in disposition.
4 A man niggardly, tenacious, or avaricious: or very niggardly: or excessively, or inordinately, so.
