Full Definition

فَجِئَهُI , and فَجَأَهُ, the former of which is the more chaste, Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun فُجَآءَةٌ , or this is a simple subst., and فَجْءٌ, or فَجْأَةٌ , or this last also is a simple subst.; and , Verbal.Noun مُفَاجَأَةٌ and فِجَآءٌ; and ; It came upon him, or happened to him, suddenly, or at unawares, unexpectedly, without his having knowledge of it, or without any previous cause; or hastily; syn. عَاجَلَهُ: [it surprised him; or took him by surprise:] and [in like manner] one says, فَجِئْتُ الرَّجُلَ, and فَجَأْتُهُ, meaning I came upon the man suddenly, or at unawares.
2 And فَجَأَ المَرْأَةَ, Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun فَجْءٌ, He compressed the woman.
