Full Definition

فَصَّهُI , [Present.T, accord. to rule, فَصُصَ and Verbal.Noun, accord. to Golius, فَصٌّ,] He separated it from (مِنْ) another thing; as also : and he pulled it out, or up, or off; or removed it; or displaced it; from another thing; as also ↓ the latter.

def.3 فَصَّ الجُرْحُ, Present.T فَصِصَ Verbal.Noun فَصِيصٌ, like فَزَّ; The wound became moist, and flowed: or flowed: or flowed with somewhat, not much. And فَصَّ العَرَقُ The sweat exuded; and so فِزَّ.
2 فَصَّ said of the [locust, or cricket, called] جُنْدَب, Verbal.Noun فَصِيصٌ and فَصٌّ, It uttered a sound. And, said of a child, Verbal.Noun فَصِيصٌ, He uttered a weak weeping, like whistling.
3 And فَصِيصٌ signifies also The being in a state of commotion; and twisting, or winding.

def.4 And one says, مَا فَصَّ فِى يَدِ ى شَىْءٌ, Present.T فَصِصَ Verbal.Noun فَصٌّ, Nothing remained, or became permanent, or accrued, [in my hand,] مِنْهُ, [thereof, or therefrom].
