فَهِهَI
, [or perhaps فَهَّ, but originally فَهِهَ], like فَرِحَ, sec. pers. فَهِهْتَ, [Present.T
فَهَهَ
] Verbal.Noun فَهَهٌ [and app. فَهَّةٌ and فَهَاهَةٌ], He lacked power or ability. And فَهَّ, Verbal.Noun فَهَاهَةٌ and فَهَّةٌ, He made a slip, or committed a fault, from lack of power or ability, &c. And فَهَّ فِى خُطْبَتِهِ, and حُجَّتِهِ, He failed of being thoroughly effective [in his discourse, or oration, or harangue, and his argument, or plea, or evidence].
2 And فَهِهْتُ الشَّىْءَ I forgot the thing. (ISh, K, * TA. [In the K the third pers. is mentioned, as being فَهِهَ; but I think it should be contracted , as in what here follows.]) And فَهَّ عَنِ الشَّىْءِ, Verbal.Noun فَهٌّ [probably, I think, a mistake for فَهَّةٌ], He forgot the thing.
