, Verbal.Noun تَقْرِيدٌ, He plucked off his قِرْدَان [or ticks]: it lighted upon him , and picked off his
قِرْدَان [or ticks].
2 [Hence,] He rendered him submissive, or tractable: because a camel, when he is freed from his ticks (قِرْدَان), becomes quiet. [And, of a camel it is said,] قرّد, he became submissive, and tractable. [And] قرّدهُ, and
نَزَعَ , [signify] He beguiled him and wheedled, or cajoled, him; because a man, when he desires to take a refractory camel, first plucks off his ticks (يُقَرِّدُهُ). See also قَرِدَ.
