قِشْدَةٌ The dregs, or sediment, remaining at the bottom of fresh butter when it is cooked with meal of parched barley or wheat (سَوِيق) to be made into clarified butter: or the dregs, or sediment, remaining at the bottom of fresh butter when it is cooked with meal of parched barley or wheat (سويق) and with dates; as also قُشَادَةٌ : or the dregs, or sediment, of clarified butter: or thin fresh butter: it is also called قِلْدَةٌ, and كُدَادَةٌ, and إِثْرٌ, and أُلَاقَةٌ, and خُلَاصَةٌ; and remains at the bottom of the cooking-pot, after the butter has been clarified, mixed with hairs and pieces of wood &c.
