قَمَطَI , Present.T ـُ and ـِ Verbal.Noun قَمْطٌ, He bound a child in the cradle, and a sheep or goat on the occasion of slaughtering it, with the قِمَاط [q. v.]: or قَمَطَهُ signifies he bound his arms and legs, or hands and feet, together, like as is done with a child in the cradle, and elsewhere, putting his limbs [or arms] next to the body, and then winding upon him the قِمَاط: and he bound his arms and legs, or hands and feet, together, with a rope; as also قمّطهُ , Verbal.Noun تَقْمِيطٌ: and قُمِطَ he was thus bound.
2 قَمَطَ الإِبِلَ, Verbal.Noun as above, He disposed the camels in a file, string, or series.
