قَمْطَرِيرٌ , and قُمَاطِرٌ , and مُقْمَطِرٌّ , A distressful, or calamitous, day: or a day that makes one knit the brow, or contract the skin between the eyes: so the first is explained by some as occurring in the Kur lxxvi. 10.
