قِنْدِيدٌ

Full Definition

قِنْدِيدٌ : see قَنْدٌ.
2 Wine: or it is not wine, but like إِسْفِنْطٌ, i. e., expressed juice of grapes, boiled, with aromatics put in it, and then rendered more fragrant by an admixture of other perfumes: [so I render يُفْتَقُ:] or beverage, or wine, (شَرَابٌ,) made of قَنْد: pl. قَنَادِيدُ.
3 Ambergris.
4 Camphor.

6 A perfume made with saffron, or with [the plant called] وَرْس.
7 [The plant called] وَرْس: or excellent وَرْس.
8 The state, or condition, of a man, whether good or bad; as also قِنْدِدٌ : pl. of the former قَنَادِيدُ.
9 جَآءَ بِالأَمْرِ عَلَى قَنَادِيدِهِ [He did the thing] in its [proper] manner.
