Full Definition

قَآءَI , Present.T يَقِىْءُ, Verbal.Noun قَىْءٌ, He vomited what he had eaten.
2 [Hence one says,] قَآءَ نَفْسَهُ [lit. He vomited his soul], meaning he died: like لَفَظَ نَفْسَهُ. And قَآءَتِ الطَّعْنَةُ الدَّمَ [The wound made with a spear or the like spouted forth the blood]. And ثَوْبٌ يَقِىْءُ الصِبْغَ A garment that is saturated with the dye. And تَقِىْءُ الأَرْضُ أَفْلَاذَ كَبِدِهَا [lit. The earth will vomit the pieces of her liver], meaning the earth will cast forth upon her surface her treasures. And قَآءَتِ الأَرْضُ أُكُلَهَا [lit. the earth vomited her food], meaning the earth disclosed her herbage and her treasures. And الأَرْضُ تَقِىْءُ النَّدَى [The earth exudes the moisture].
