ـُ; and كَدَرَ; but this last is said in the L to be allowable only as signifying “ he poured out ” water; Verbal.Noun كَدَرٌ, of the first, or second, and كُدُورَةٌ, of the second, and كَدَارَةٌ, also of the second, and كُدُورٌ, and كُدْرَةٌ, or the last is a simple subst.; and
تكدّر ; and
, Verbal.Noun إِكْدِرَارٌ; and
; It was, or became, turbid, thick, or muddy; contr. of
صَفَا; it ceased to be clear: or كُدْرَةٌ relates to colour, specially; and كُدُورَةٌ, to water, and to life, العَيْش; in the K, العَيْن, but this is a mistake; and كَدَرٌ, to all of these.
2 كَدِرَ, Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun كَدَرٌ [and كُدْرَةٌ, ] It and he was, or became, of the colour termed كُدْرَةٌ [i. e. dusky, dingy, or inclining to black and dust-colour].
3 كَدِرَ عَيْشُ فُلَانٍ, [Verbal.Noun كَدَرٌ and كُدُورَةٌ; ] and تكدّر , [The life of such a one became troublesome, or perturbed, or attended with trouble:] and تكدّرت مَعِيشَتُهُ [signifies the same; or his means of living became attended with trouble].
4 خُذْ مَا صَفَا وَدَعْ مَا كَدِرَ, and كَدُرَ, and كَدَرَ, [Take thou what is free from trouble, and leave what is attended with trouble.]
5 كَدِرَ عَلَىَّ فُؤَادُهُ [His heart, or mind, became perturbed by displeasure against me].
6 [And in like manner you say] تكدّر مَذْهَبُهُ فى ٱلْمَسْأَلَةِ [ His opinion respecting the question became confounded, or perplexed].
