كَلْتَبَانٌ
A pimp: from كَلِبَ, q. v., Sb, however, does not mention the measure فَعْتَلَانٌ. ISd thinks it most probable that كَلِبَ is a triliteral-radical, and كلتبان a quadriliteralradical [or rather a quasi-quadriliteral-radical], like زَرِمَ and إِزْرَأَمّ &c. See also قَرْطَبَانٌ and قَلْتَبَانٌ, and art. كلتب.
