لَسَدَI , Present.T ـِ and ـُ Verbal.Noun لَسْدٌ; and لَسِدَ, Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun لَسَدٌ; the latter mentioned by AHát, or Aboo-Khálid, in the Kitáb el-Abwáb, but the former is the more chaste, It sucked its mother: or sucked her so as to exhaust all that was in the udder.
2 Also, both verbs, He licked a vessel: or he licked what was in the vessel.
3 Also, the former, He licked honey: and anything. You say لَسَدَتِ الوَحْشِيَّةُ وَلَدَهَا The female wild animal licked her young one.
