لَوْجَاءُ

Full Definition

لَوْجَاءُ and لُوَيْجَاءُ [the latter the dim. of the former] A want; a thing wanted; an object of want: from لَاجَهُ as explained above.
2 مَا فِى صَدْرِهِ حَوْجَآءُ وَلَا لَوْجآءُ إِلَّا قَضَيْتُهَا There was not a want in his bosom but I accomplished it.
3لَوْجَآءُ وَلَا حُوَيْجَآءُ وَلَا مَالِى فِيهِ حَوْجَآءُ وَلَا I have no want, [nor any little want,] with respect to him, or it.
4 مَالِى عَلَيْهِ حِوَجٌ وَلَا لِوجٌ [I have no wants which it is incumbent upon him to supply: حَوَجٌ being a pl. of حَاجَةٌ; and لِوَجٌ, irregularly, of لَوْجَآءُ, in imitation of حِوَجٌ].
