لَوْذٌ
The side of a mountain; and its circuit: pl. ألْوَاذٌ.
2 A side, or lateral part or tract, of a country or region: and of a thing; as also لَوْذَانٌ : pl. as above.
3 A place of bending of a valley: pl. as above.
4 هُوَ بِلَوْذِ كَذَا, and كَذَا, He, or it, is in the side of, or part adjacent to, such a place or thing.
5 هُوَ لَوْذَهُ He is near to him or it.
