مَادَدْتُهُIII , Verbal.Noun مُمَادَّةٌ and مِدَادٌ, I pulled him, he pulling me: I contended with him in drawing or pulling, in straining, or in stretching; syn. جَاذَبْتُهُ.
2 مادّهُ الثَّوْبَ [He pulled, strained, or stretched, the garment, or piece of cloth with him].
3 مَادَّهُ He prolonged to him a time.
4 مَادَّ فِى المُدَّةِ He prolonged, protracted, or lengthened, the space of time.
5 مادّهُ, Verbal.Noun مُمَادَّةٌ and مِدَادٌ, He protracted, delayed, or deferred, with him; put him off. See also 1.
