مَتْرَبَةٌ The suffering loss, and becoming poor, so as to cleave to the dust, or earth; an Verbal.Noun of تَرِبَ: or poverty, or neediness: [or (as a word of the same class as مَجْبَنَةُ and مَبْخَلَةٌ) a cause of cleaving to the dust, or earth: and hence,] ذُومَتْرَبَةٍ Poor, so as to be cleaving to the dust, or earth: or [simply] cleaving to the dust, or earth.
