مَتُوحٌ

Full Definition

مَتُوحٌ A well from which one draws water with the two hands by means of the pulley: or, of which the bottom, or part from which the water is drawn, is near to the mouth: pl. مُتُحٌ. [See also جَرُورٌ.]
2 [You say,] سِرْنَا عُقْبَةً مَتُوحًا [in the CK عَقبَةَ] We proceeded a long march.
3 بَيْنَنَا فَرْسَحٌ , and مَاتِحٌ , and مَتَّاحٌ , Between us is a long league.
4 لَيْلٌ مَتَّاحٌ A long night.
5يَوْمٌ مَتَّاحٌ إِلَى اللَّيْلِ A day in which travelling is prolonged until the evening without intermission or alighting. See مَاتِحٌ.
