2 Also A man denied, or refused, good, or prosperity; prevented, or withheld, from obtaining good; and so حُدٌّ , with damm, or حَدٌّ ; the latter heard only from Lth: withheld from good fortune &c.; withheld from sustenance; contr. of مَجْدُودٌ: and withheld from evil.
