مُدَامٌ
Continual, or lasting, rain. [See also دِيمَةٌ, above.]
2 And Wine; as also مُدَامَةٌ : so called because it is made to continue for a time in the دَنّ, or in its receptacle, until it becomes still after fermenting: or because, by reason of its abundance, it does not become exhausted: or because of its oldness: or because it is the only beverage of which the drinking can be long continued: or because the drinking thereof is continued for days, to the exclusion of other beverages.
