Full Definition

مُدْهُنٌ , with damm, only, to the م and ه, extr [in form], for by rule it should be مِدْهَنٌ, or it was مِدْهَنٌ originally, The utensil (آلَة) for دُهْن [or oil, &c.]; i. e. the thing [or pot or vase] in which دُهْن is put; a flask, or phial, (قَارُورَة,) for دُهْن: [and مُدْهُنَةٌ , occurring in this art. and in art. وقب in the TA, signifies the same:] pl. مَدَاهِنُ.
2 And A place, or a small hollow or cavity, in a mountain, in which water remains and collects, or collects and stagnates: or any place excavated by a torrent: or water exuding in stone.
