مَدُوفٌ and مَدْوُوفٌ, the latter of the dial. of Temeem, and [said to be] the only instance of the kind, i. e., of a pass. part. n. of a triliteralradical verb with a medial و except مَصُوونٌ as a variation of مَصُونٌ, though Mbr asserts it to be agreeable with a rule obtaining in all similar cases, which none [other] of the leading authorities allows, and مَدُوفٌ and مَصُونٌ are the usual forms, Mixed: or moistened: or bruised, brayed, or pounded; or powdered, or pulverized: applied to perfume, or to musk: as also دَائِفٌ .
