مَرْوَحَةٌ A place in which, or through which, the winds blow, and in which they efface the traces of dwellings: and [hence,] a desert, or waterless desert: pl. مَرَاوِيحُ [for مَرَاوِحُ]. [See an ex. in a verse cited voce تَدَلَّى, in art. دلو.]
