مُزَنَّمٌ

Root: زنم

Full Definition

مُزَنَّمٌ , and its fem. (with ة): see زَنِمٌ.
2 See also زَنِيمٌ, in two places.
3 Also Small in body; like مُزَلَّمٌ. (IAar, TA in art. زلم.)
4 Also The young ones of camels.
5 And A certain stallion [-camel]; accord. to some, who read thus, in a verse of Zuheyr, مَغَانِمُ شَتَّى مِنْ إِفَالِ مُزَنَّمِ [Sundry spoils consisting of the young camels the offspring of Muzennem]: thus A'Obeyd read, instead of إِفَالٍ مُزَنَّمِ, in which the latter word is used for مُزَنَّمَةٍ, [by poetic license,] because إِفَالٌ is of a measure common to masc. and fem. words.
