مُسْتَمْطِرٌ [Asking, begging, or praying, for rain.
2 Hence,] Seeking, desiring, or demanding, beneficence, or bounty, from a man. You say, مَا أَنَا مِنْ حَاجَتِى عِنْدَكَ بِمُسْتَمْطِرٍ I am not covetous of obtaining from thee the object of my want.
3 A place needing rain.
4 Silent; not speaking [when spoken to, as though desiring that words should pour upon him like rain].
