مَسْجُورٌ

Full Definition

مَسْجُورٌ Filled: applied to the sea in this sense: or the sea [itself]: (K: [in the TA, by the omission of وَٱللَّبَنُ after البَحْرُ, it is made to signify “ a sea of which the water is more than it is itself; ” a meaning which, as there remarked, is not found in other lexicons:]) and مَسْجُورٌ بِالنَّارِ filled with fire: and عَيْنٌ مَسْجُورَةٌ, and , a full eye or source; syn. مُفْعَمَةٌ.
2 Milk of which the water is more than it is itself.
3 Made to flow forth.
4 Empty. Thus it bears two contr. significations.
5 Kindled.
6 Still, or quiet; as also سَاجِرٌ : or still, or quiet, and full at the same time.
7 لُؤْلُؤٌ مَسْجُورٌ Pearls strung and hanging down: or that have fallen and become scattered from their string: and لُؤْلُؤَةٌ مَسْجُورَةٌ is said to signify a pearl of much brilliancy.
8 شَعَرٌ مَسْجُورٌ, and مُسَجَّرٌ , and مُسَوْجَرٌ , and مُنْسَجِرٌ , Hair made to hang down; hanging down.
9 كَلْبٌ مَسْجُورٌ, and مُسَجَّرٌ , and مُسَوْجَرٌ, A dog having a سَاجُور upon his neck.
