مَشُشَ
Verbal.Noun مَشٌّ, He wiped his hand with a thing, , or with a rough thing, and with a napkin, to cleanse it, and to remove its greasiness. [See an ex. in a verse cited voce مُضَهَّبٌ.] You say also, مَشَّ أُذُنَهُ, and بِأُذُنِهِ, He wiped his ear. And أُمْشُشْ مُخَاطَكَ
Wipe thou away the mucus of thy nose.
2 He wiped an arrow, and a bow-string, with his garment, to make it soft.
def.2 مَشَّ, [Present.T and] Verbal.Noun as above, He sucked, a bone, or the heads, or extremites, of bones, [i. e.] what are termed مُشَاش, they being chewed; as also , and , and , of which last the Verbal.Noun is مَشْمَشَةٌ: and العَظْمَ he ate the مُشَاش [q. v.] of the bone: or he sucked the whole of it; or extracted its marrow; syn. تَمَكَّكَهُ: and , Verbal.Noun تَمْشِيشٌ, he extracted its marrow; as also .
2 مَشَّ النَّاقَةَ, Verbal.Noun as above, He milked the she-camel leaving some of the milk in the udder: and مَشٌّ also signifies the milking to the uttermost; and so
: you say, امتشّ مَا فِى الضَّرْعِ he took, i. e. milked, all that was in the udder.
3 هُوَ يَمُشُّ مَالَ فُلَانٍ, Verbal.Noun as above, He takes the property of such a one, thing after thing; as also يَمُشُّ مِنْ مَالِهِ: or the latter, or من ماله, he obtains of his property.
