مُصَاوَلَةٌIII and صِيَالَةٌ [of which the first and second are inf. ns., the third being a quasi-Verbal.Noun,] are syn. with مُوَاثَبَةٌ; صَاوَلَهُ signifying وَاثَبَهُ [i. e. He leaped, or sprang, upon him; or he assaulted, or assailed, him: or he contended with him, each leaping, or springing, upon the other, or each assaulting, or assailing, the other]. [See also 6.]
