مِصْلَاةٌ A snare that is set up for birds &c.: pl. مَصَالٍ. It is said in a trad., إِنَّ لِلشَّيْطَانِ فُخُوخًا وَمَصَالِىَ or مَصَالِىَ وَفُخُوخًا i. e. [Verily to the Devil belong snares and traps] with which he catches men.
