مُعِيدٌ
A stallion-camel that has covered repeatedly; and that does not require assistance in his doing so.
2 And hence, applied to a man Acquainted with affairs, not inexperienced therein, possessing skill and ability to do a thing. One says, فُلَانٌ مُعِيدٌ لِهٰذَا الأَمْرِ, meaning Such a one is able to do this thing: because accustomed, or habituated, to it.
3 And hence, or because he returns to his prey time after time, The lion,
4 المُبْدِئُ المُعِيدُ applied to God:
5 and مُبْدِئٌ مُعِيدٌ applied to a man, and to a horse: see art. بدأ.
6 مُعِيدٌ also signifies A road travelled and trodden time after time. [See also عَوْدٌ.]
