مُقَارِبٌ , with kesr to the ر A thing of a middling sort, between the good and the bad: and also a cheap thing: and ثَوْبٌ مُقَارِبٌ a garment that is not good: you should not say مُقَارَبٌ , with fet-h: you say also رَجُلٌ مُقَارِبٌ [a man of a middling sort]: and مَتَاعٌ مُقَارِبٌ [a commodity, or commodities, &c., of a middling sort, or cheap]: or you say دِينٌ مُقَارِبٌ with kesr, [meaning a religion of a middling sort], and مَتَاعٌ مُقَارَبٌ with fet-h, meaning [a commodity, &c.,] not precious.
