Full Definition

مَلَخَI , Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun مَلْخٌ; and ; He pulled, or drew, a thing, grasping with the hand, or biting, and so pulling or drawing it out.
2 He pulled out a thing; drew it forth: or drew it forth quickly. He drew his sword. He pulled out his tooth: and his eye. It pulled out an eye; as also تملّخ . He pulled away his hand from the hand of a person grasping him. He pulled out a ripe date from its skin. He pulled off flesh from a bone. He pulled off the bridle and bit from the head of a beast of carriage.
3 مَلَخَ, Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun مَلْخٌ, He went, or journeyed, at a vehement rats: or, at an easy rate: and, sometimes, vehemently: or, quickly: or he stretched forth his arms in the pace called حُضْر, in any way, well or ill.
4 مَلَخَ فِى الأَرْضِ He went away journeying through the land, or earth.
5 فُلَانٌ يَمْلَخُ فِى البَاطِلِ, Verbal.Noun مَلْخٌ, Such a one goes to and fro, and occupies himself much, in vain affairs: or goes quickly and easily therein: or plays, or sports, and perseveres, therein.
6 مَلْخٌ البَاطِلِ i. q. التَّبَخْتُرُ [Walking in an affected manner] (L, in art. ضندد.)
7 مَلَخَ القَوْمُ مَلْخَةً صَالِحَةً The people, or party, went, or journeyed, far in the land.
8 مَلَخَ He fled
