Full Definition

مِنْقَاشٌ An instrument with which variegated, or decorated or embellished, work is done: pl. مَنَاقِيشُ: [and an instrument with which engraving, or any sculptured work, is done: so in the present day.]
2 Also, [A kind of tweezers;] an instrument with which one extracts, or draws or pulls out or forth, thorns; as also مِنْقَشٌ ; [of which latter the pl. is مَنَاقِشُ, occurring below:] and with which one plucks out hair. [Hence the saying,] اِسْتَخْرَجْتُ حَقِّى مِنْهُ بِالمَنَاقِشِ I wearied myself in extorting my right, or due, from him.
