Full Definition

مَنِيْئَةٌ A hide in the first stage of tanning: it is next called أَفِيقٌ; and then أَدِيمٌ: or a hide as long as it remains in the tanning-liquid.
2 A place where hides are tanned.
3 Also, accord. to some, Tan, or that with which one tans.
4 This word is not to be pronounced without ء, because مَنِيَّةٌ signifies “ death. ”
