2 ناهب الفَرَسُ الفَرَسَ, Verbal.Noun مُنَاهَبَةٌ, The [one] horse emulated, or contended with, the [other] horse in running.
3 Used not only with reference to a horse. The Rájiz says, نَاهَبْتُهُمْ بِنَيْطَلٍ جَرُوفِ [I emulated them, or contended with them, with a bucket that took up much water]. See also 6.
