Full Definition

ناهدهُIII , Verbal.Noun مُنَاهَدَةٌ, i. q. نَاهَضَهُ; He attacked or assaulted him, or rose and hastened and went forth to or towards him, in war; he directed his course towards him, and commenced fighting with him.
2 ناهدهُ, Verbal.Noun مُنَاهَدَةٌ, He contended or disputed with him, in an absolute sense.

def.2 نَاهَدَهُمْ, [Verbal.Noun مُنَاهَدَةٌ,] He contributed with them to the expenses of a journey or an expedition, clubbing with them, i. e. sharing equally with each of them. See also 6.

def.3 ناهدهُ, Verbal.Noun مُنَاهَدَةٌ, He played with him at the game in which one puts forth as many of his fingers as he pleases, and the other does the like; he played with him at the game of morra; the Verbal.Noun expl. by مُسَاهَمَةٌ بِالأَصَابِعِ, and مُخَارَجَةٌ, q. v.
