نِجَادٌ The suspensory cords or strings of a sword: or the part thereof that lies upon the shoulder.
2 طَوِيلُ النِّجَادِ [lit., Having long suspensory cords or strings to his sword,] means a man of tall stature: for when a man is tall his نجاد must be long.
