نَحْوٌ
The like of a thing: syn. مِثْلٌ.
2 Quantity, &c.; syn. مِقْدَارٌ.
3 A division, &c.; syn. قِسْمٌ.
4 نَحْوَهُ: see نَحَا.
5 نَحْوُ الثَّلَاثَةِ About three. فِى نَحْوِ ثَلَاثِ سَاعَاتٍ In about three hours.
6 عَرَفْتُهُ فِى نَحْوِ كَلَامِهِ and فى لَحْنِ كلامه and فى مِعْرَاضِ كلامه signify the same. (Msb in art. عرض.) See the last of these, voce عَرُوضٌ.
7 اِتَّئِدْ عَلَى نَحْوِكَ, i. e. أَوِّنْ عَلَى قَدْرِكَ [or مِقْدَارِكَ]: see art. اون.
