نَصِيبٌ

Full Definition

نَصِيبٌ and نِصْبٌ A share, or portion, or lot, syn. حَظٌّ; of a thing; or of anything; a set portion: [hence it appears to be in the sense of مَنْصُوبٌ what is set:] pl. of the former أَنْصِبَآءُ and أَنْصِبَةٌ [the latter a pl. of pauc.], and نُصُبٌ.
2 نَصِيبٌ A tank, or cistern.
3 A snare, or fowler's net, set, or set up: thus in the sense of مَنْصُوبٌ. See also مَنْصُوبَةٌ.
