Full Definition

نَعَرَI , Present.T ـِ and ـَ [in the Msb, ـُ but this I suppose to be an error in transcription,] the first of which is the most common, or the most common when the verb relates to a vein, accord. to Fr, as cited by Sgh, Verbal.Noun نَعِيرٌ and نُعَارٌ, or this latter is a simple subst., and نَعْرَةٌ, [or this also is a simple subst.,] He uttered a sound, or noise, with, or in, his خَيْشُوم [or the innermost part of his nose]: but Az, says, I have not heard this explanation from any of the leading authorities.
2 Also, Verbal.Noun نَعِيرٌ, He called out, or cried out vehemently, in war, or in some evil case. And نَعَرَتْ, Verbal.Noun نَعِيرٌ, She clamoured, and acted in a foul or immodest manner.
3 نَعَرَ العِرْقُ, or نَعَرَ العِرْقُ بِالدَّمِ, Present.T ـِ and ـَ the former of which is the more common, Verbal.Noun نَعْرٌ, or نَعِيرٌ and نُعَارٌ, The vein gushed with blood: or, (Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun نُعُورٌ and نَعِيرٌ, TA,) made a sound by reason of the blood coming forth: or gushed with blood, and made a sound at the coming forth of the blood.
