نَقَخَI , Present.T ـَ Verbal.Noun نَقْخٌ and نُقَاخٌ, He struck, smote, or beat. نَقَخَ رَأْسَهُ He struck his head with a staff, or sword, or some other hard thing: or he struck his head so that the brain came forth: or he broke his head so as to disclose the brain; as also نَقَفَ. نَقَخَ دِمَاغَهُ He broke his brain.
2 Also, نَقَخَ and He extracted marrow from a bone.
3 نَقَحَ العَطَشَ بِبَرْدِهِ It broke, [or abated, or allayed,] thirst, by its coolness, or coldness.
