همِيدٌ Sheep or goats that have died: or the beasts or the like (مال) that are registered in the government-accounts as due from a man. You say, آخَذَنَا مالْهَمِيدِ He exacted from us taking for the sheep or goats that had died: or, taking what was registered as due from us in the governmentaccounts.
