Full Definition

هَيْشَةٌ i. q. هَوْشَةٌ; Conflict and faction, sedition, discord, or dissension. It is said in a trad., لَيْسَ فِى الهَيْشَاتِ قَوَدٌ, or, accord. to one relation, فى الهَوْشَاتِ, There is no retaliation for one slain in cases of conflict and faction, &c., when the slayer is unknown. And هَيْشَات in the phrases هَيْشَاتُ اللَّيْلِ and هَيْشَاتُ الَأَسْوَاقِ is like هَوْشَات.
