Full Definition

وَلِهَI His reason departed, or he became bereft of his reason or intellect, in consequence of grief; or of joy, or grief; or of intense grief; or of the loss of the beloved: or he grieved, or sorrowed: and he became confounded, or perplexed, and unable to see his right course, by reason of intense grief: and he feared. See also أَلِهَ, in two places.
2 وَلِهَ إِلَى أُمِّه He yearned for his mother. And وَلِهَ إِلَيْهِ is app. syn. with أَلِهَ إِلَيْهِ, q. v.
