Full Definition

وَمِدَتِI , Present.T تَوْمَدُ, Verbal.Noun وَمَدٌ, The night was, or became, one of وَمَد, i. e., intense heat, &c., as explained below. One also says وَمِدَ اليَوْمُ: but the former is more common.
2 وَمِدَ عَلَيْهِ, Present.T يَوْمَدُ, Verbal.Noun وَمَدٌ, He was angry with him; was incensed against him; i. q. وَبِدَ, of which it is a dial. form.
