أَخْطَلُ

Full Definition

أَخْطَلُ Having [flaccid, or flabby, or pendulous, or] long, and flaccid or flabby or pendulous, ears: خَطْلَآءُ [is its fem., and therefore signifies the same; or this], applied to a ewe or she-goat, signifies having broad ears; or having very broad ears; or long-eared: pl. خُطُلٌ and خُطْلٌ. You say ثَلَّةٌ خُطُلٌ or خُطْلٌ A flock of sheep, or goats, having flaccid, or flabby, or pendulous, ears: and the same epithet is applied to dogs: all dogs of the chase have such ears. And أُذُنٌ خَطْلَآءُ A flaccid, or flabby, or pendulous, ear: or a long ear, that shakes about: or a very broad ear.
2 Also, the fem., A woman thick, coarse, or rude, of make: or, as some say, long in the breasts.
